The FlyByWire A32NX in Cobalt.
FlyByWire publishes its own events for every FCU knob and button. Cobalt uses them, so speed, heading, altitude, V/S, and managed modes behave exactly like the glareshield.
Readouts are free. Remote control is part of Cobalt Peak.
What Cobalt does with the FlyByWire A32NX
Reading is free on every plan. Changing anything from the phone is Cobalt Peak.
What Cobalt reads
- Position, speed, altitude, and heading on the live map and Lock Screen
- Flight phase, top-of-descent alerts, and an automatic logbook entry
- Engines, fuel, electrical, and pressurization readouts
- Lights, gear, flaps, and cockpit switch states
- FCU speed, heading, altitude, and V/S targets
- Managed dots and the AP1, A/THR, LOC, and APPR lights
- COM1 and COM2, active and standby
- Autopilot disconnect, engine failure, and sim paused alerts
What you can control with Peak
- FCU speed, heading, altitude, and V/S in knots, degrees, feet, and fpm
- Push for managed, pull for selected, on all four FCU knobs
- AP1, autopilot disconnect, A/THR, and APPR
- Lights, parking brake, seatbelt signs, and probe heat, best effort
- Engine start and cutoff, APU, gear, flaps, and radios, best effort
- Camera views, pause, scheduled pause, and sim rate

Good to know before you fly
FlyByWire documents a custom event for every FCU knob and button. The Bridge maps them at connect, so nothing else needs to be installed.
The FlyByWire A380X shares the same FCU events, and the Bridge detects it with the same profile. Everything on this page applies to both.
Speed, heading, and altitude push and pull are confirmed by the managed dots. V/S has no dot, so its result shows on the FMA rather than as a confirmation in the app.
Lights, engines, and radios go out as standard sim events. Cobalt reads each result back and tells you when the aircraft did not follow.
Questions, answered.
Does Cobalt support the FlyByWire A32NX?
Yes, in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Telemetry and tracking are free. With Peak, Cobalt sets the FCU and switches between managed and selected modes through FlyByWire's own events. Cobalt is an independent app and works with the A32NX, it is not a FlyByWire product.
Can I use managed and selected modes from my phone?
Yes. The Autopilot card shows the Airbus layout for the A32NX. Push sets managed, pull sets selected, on speed, heading, altitude, and V/S, and the managed dots confirm the result.
Does it work with the FlyByWire A380X?
Yes. The A380X uses the same FCU events as the A32NX, so the same profile and the same controls apply.
Do I need any add-on or module?
No. Install the free Cobalt Bridge on the sim PC. The A32NX already understands the events Cobalt sends.
